The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) – Geosciences Division conducted a seminar on the results of its geohazard mapping and assessment. The seminar entitled “Training-Workshop on Understanding 1:10,000 Scale Geohazard Map” was held last February 20 – 25, 2017 at Hotel Consuelo Resort and Chinese Restaurant, Lingayen, Pangasinan.

The participants came from the municipalities of Bolinao with 30 barangays, Bani with 27 barangays, Agno with 17 barangays and Alaminos with 39 barangays. All Barangay Chairman/Chairwoman, Local Chief Executive, Local Government Planners, City/Municipality Disaster and Risk Reduction Officers, Provincial/Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, Provincial/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, PNP and Civil Society Representative were encouraged to participate in the activity.
