In celebration of the 118th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau-I took part and joined various agencies in the annual R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run on September 6, 2018 at the Poro Point Baywalk in San Fernando City, La Union. The participants joined in two categories (3k and 5k) of the fun run activity. It aimed to promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to raise awareness and holistic wellness. Further, it is an avenue to interact with fellow public servants in the bureaucracy and encourage friendly competition and stimulate camaraderie. Also, in line with its theme, the activity is a fund raising event for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Program which seeks to honor public servants who sacrificed their lives for the Filipino people. CSC Region 1 also conducted a short program which included a zumba session before the said fun run.
